Due to their young immune system, we require all puppies under 4 months of age to lodge in our Resort Suites.

We do offer an excellent, high quality house food for a minimal charge. However, we do recommend that you bring your own dog’s food to avoid any possible GI issues.

What personal belongings can I bring with my dog?

Familiarity can help reduce stress levels in dogs while lodging. Bringing a blanket/bed and a favorite toy/bone can help your dog feel more at home while enjoying their stay with us. Absolutely! Day lodging is a service provided for those pet parents who do not want their pet to participate in Unleashed or the pet does not qualify for that type of play. Day lodgers will be placed in one of our resort suites.

Unleashed FAQs

What is Unleashed Group Play?

Unleashed Play is supervised group play with other dogs that have the same play style and of similar age and size. We believe if dogs are physically, emotionally and mentally stimulated, they will be much happier and better behaved. Before participating, each dog must first go through an extensive Temperament Assessment. Reservations are required!

Keep in mind, Unleashed Play isn’t for every dog or client. Just as humans differ in their comfort levels around groups of other people, the same goes for dogs. We have seen dogs start off timid in the beginning and become more confident each time they attend, and we have seen dogs start off socializing properly and gradually begin to dislike it for reasons such as age and/or health. Ultimately, your dog’s physical, emotional and mental state is our top concern. We will do everything we can to encourage a fun and healthy environment for your dog. If for some reason we feel your dog is not thriving in Unleashed, a staff member will contact you and work on a plan of action that fits the needs of you and your dog.

What are the benefits of Unleashed Group Play?

In addition to the obvious of being stimulated physically with swimming, running and playing, we have worked hard to create a program that also focuses on the mental and emotional health of each dog. Our staff is trained on promoting positive behaviors in the yard like not barking, not jumping, not pulling on leash, proper play behavior and waiting at gates and doors. While we do not expect dogs to act as robots or perform all types of advanced obedience while playing here, we do encourage and reward good behavior. Our goal is to send your dog home happy and ready for a nap! We also want them to be excited when they return because they remember it as such a fun experience.

What are the hours of Unleashed Group Play?

  • Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

How many hours a day is my dog actually playing with friends?

Unlike many other daycare facilities, we do not have a designated “nap time”. In our years of experience, we have discovered that while every dog needs a rest from playing all day, not every dog requires a break at the same time. Young dogs, for example, may not know when to rest so they may require human intervention to offer shorter, more frequent breaks. Seniors or more experienced dogs, recognize when they are getting tired and typically remove themselves from the general play area and rest on their own. We do not believe we should force ALL dogs to take the same type of break at the same time.

Our staff is trained to watch for certain behaviors that tell us when a dog should be removed for a break and it will vary from dog to dog. If we notice a dog getting tired more frequently than usual, we will document it and inform you right away.

Can you feed my dog lunch while there for Unleashed Group Play?

Yes. However, because the risk of bloating increases when food is fed too soon after or before being active, we require each dog to take a break from play for an hour before and after eating.

Can my dog attend Unleashed while lodging with you?

Yes! We encourage any dog who has been approved in Unleashed to play while lodging. Not only will this help them release their energy, it also allows for them to get out of their suites for the day. Dogs who are lodging and participating in Unleashed play from 9 am to 4pm. The cost for Unleashed is only an additional $10 per day.
